Dr. D’Souza obtained his medical degree from the University of Bombay, India. He then completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Misericordia Hospital and Medical Center/ NewYork Medical College, fellowship in Cardiovascular Disease at Bridgeport Hospital/ Yale University in Connecticut. He is ABIM Board certified in Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Disease, with special certification in Echocardiography and Nuclear Cardiology. Dr. D’Souza provides comprehensive care for patients with cardiovascular diseases, with special emphasis on disease prevention and cardiac imaging. He has been recognized with numerous awards including Best Teacher, Humanitarian Award, Physician of the Year, Distinguished Leadership Award, and was a finalist for Patient Experience Award of Distinction. Dr D’Souza lives in Sarasota with his wife Sally, and they have four children. In his spare time he enjoys travel and music and playing the piano.
